Christmas is coming…

…sooner than you think.  Now is the time to start making your list, and checking it twice.  I like to keep a list of people that I need to buy gifts for in my wallet.  Then, as I am out shopping the sales or hitting up super clearance deals, I remember to keep an eye out for gifts.  If I find something that I know will be perfect for someone, I buy it & cross their name off the list.  Most of the time I can score gifts for 75% off or more!  And, when Christmas rolls around, I dont have to worry because all my shopping was done months ago.

Target is a great place right now for toys & games.  There are also some printable coupons for Hasbro games available here.  These also work on the travel sized games – meaning you could get these for free or super cheap.  They would make great stocking stuffers, or maybe a nice present for the kids to unwrap on that long drive to grandma’s.

Looking for the perfect gift for the techie in your life?  Check out DealNews.  I try to scan through this site at least once a day.  I found a great present for DF the other day (cant say what since he might read this).  This site searches the internet for the best deals on items ranging from computers to TVs to coffee makers.  Their prices include shipping rates, so you can be sure that you really are getting the lowest price available that day.

Another site to check often is Woot.  There is only one item available each day, and a limit of 1-3 items per order usually.  But scanning this site can sometimes score you deep discounts.  Last year I was able to get stereo docking stations for the Zune for $30 each, when Target was selling the exact same one for $80.  There is also a Wine Woot (offering a Wine of the Day), and a Kids Woot with all the hottest toys.

By planning ahead, you can save big when it comes to Christmas presents.
