HOT DEAL: Nature’s Bounty Vitamins @ CVS

Nature’s Bounty vitamins are on BOGO sale at CVS this week. There are $5 and $3 printable coupons available that make this an incredible deal (since you can use 2 coupons because you are buying 2 items). That makes for some cheap, free, or even money-making vitamins!

Here’s how it works. Head over to Nature’s Bounty and sign up. Once you have signed up, log into your account and click on “Enter Codes” on the right side. Use these codes to rack up at least 800 points (each product # can be used twice, the lot numbers can be any random number).

Once you have 800 points, go to Redeem Points on the right side. Choose the $5 coupon (500 points). It will take you to the link to print it. Click on the link & print your coupon. Once its printed, hit the back button on your browser & click on the “Resend” button to print another. Repeat 5 times for a total of 6 coupons (it will give you a message saying you can not print any more once you hit the max). Do the same thing for the $3 coupon (300 points). Even better? This process can be done every 20 days. If you have multiple computers, just make sure to set up different NB logins for each one.

This will give you a total of $48 in NB coupons! Use them to get your vitamins for free; or, if you are really adventurous, use them to get some serious money-makers.

Now, this is where couponing gets interesting. CVS’s official policy is that they do not allow coupon overage, so YMMV on this one. The registers will definitely accept the coupons, but if you get a stickler cashier, it wont fly. The cheapest NB vitamins that are in this sale are $4.99. If you purchase 2 $4.99 bottles, and use a $3 coupon and a $5 coupon, the register will accept both. That means you are buying $9.98 in product, using $8 in manufacturer coupons, and getting $4.99 in CVS store discounts. This results in a $3.01 overage – your coupons cover more than just the price of the item.

So what happens to that $3.01? They wont open up the register & give you the cash back (I wish!). So, you have to put something in your order to soak it up. Cereal, milk, diapers, wipes, toilet paper, cat litter, whatever you need. This is how I get so many things for free that rarely go on sale. To make it even sweeter, the limit on the vitamins is 6 per order, so you could get $9.03 in overage per order! That’s quite a few things you could stock up on. I like to purchase items that are producing EBs, or ones that I am getting cheaply with coupons anyway.

So what if you dont want or need vitamins? Buy them anyway! Seriously, you are getting paid to take them out of the store. Buy supplements you think you could use, but if you just cant find anything you need, get the cheapest ones, max out your overage, and then see if you can donate the vitamins to the nearest local assistance agency.
