Charity Challenge – $476 donated

Shopping so much at CVS and Walgreens means that I often have a surplus of items on hand.  My co-workers asked for some of that stock this month for our Christmas Charity for Truman Medical Center.  We have adopted 10 residents.  Each resident asks for basic hygiene items, and then something “fun” in addition to that.  Since I was able to provide the basics, we are able to spend the money we raised on getting them the gifts that they want 🙂

Overall I donated 94 items, with a full retail value of $476.32

The Charity Challenge was started by Tanya over at CVS Saver.  Getting the bargains every week is a lot of fun, but being able to use your powers for good is even better.  Feel free to post your own Charity Challenges (and post a link here in the comments).

The last big donation that I did was to a school near my house with lots of low income children (which is about every school right now I think). I donated around 40 2 pocket folder, 10 binders, several packs of pens, pencils, rulers, tons of glue and other various items. Ive also done like you and just did big donations of hygiene items to various organizations.
Ive also donated the random free cat and dog food to a local animal rescue organization.
Like you said Deals are fun but donating is even better!
