Here are the grocery deals for the Kansas City area. Enjoy!

Hen House

Reminder: Hen House doubles all coupons up to $.50, making your $.50 coupons worth $1.

  • Whole chickens $.99/lb
  • Chicken leg quarters $.79/lb
  • Gatorade $.77/bottle (look for tearpad coupons at CVS and Walgreens for $.50 off and get these for free!)
  • Keebler cookies & crackers 50% off. Several coupons for $1/2 packages were in the most recent newspaper in the Kelloggs Fuel for School flyer. Printable coupons are available here. Buy 10 items in a single purchase, and you can submit for a $10 rebate through Kelloggs Fuel for School.
  • Kelloggs cereals – 5/$10. Use the $1/2 coupons found in the Kelloggs Fuel for School booklet, and get these for $1.50/box when you buy 2. Dont forget about the mail-in-rebate!
  • Buy an 8oz French’s mustard for $1.66, get an 8oz Best Choice mustard free. $1/2 Frenches mustard in the 6-21 SS. Buy 2 French’s for $3.32 + two free Best Choice mustards. Take off the $1 coupon, and you pay $2.32 for 4 bottles of mustard! This lasts quite awhile, so if you eat it often, stock up.
  • Buy a can of Lindsay olives for $1.85, get the Best Choice olives for free. There is a $1/2 printable coupon for the Lindsay olives here. Buy 2 cans of Lindsay olives for $3.70 + two free Best Choice olives. Use the $1/2 Lindsay coupon to get 4 cans of olives for $2.70, or less than $.70/can. Great deal!
  • 15.5 lb Purina Beneful dog food – $14.99. $3.50 printable coupon for any Purina food here (can be printed twice). After coupon prince = $11.49.
  • Locally grown melons 2/$6
  • Local peaches $.99/lb
  • 7-UP 1/2 liter 6-pack – $1.99
  • Good Natured Family Farms milk (local) – $2.28/gallon.
  • Totino’s Pizza rolls – $.99. Use the printable coupon here to get $.55/2 to get 2 bags for $1.45, or use the $.35/1 coupon from the 7-12 RP to get them for $.29/bag.

Price Chopper

  • Bananas $.39/lb (just a side note – Save-A-Lot carries these for $.33/lb every day)
  • Boneless/skinless chicken breasts – $1.69/lb
  • General Mills cereals (select varieties) – $1.49 each. Use the $1/2 printable coupon here to get these for $1/box when you buy 2 boxes of Cheerios. If you like Kix, you can use the $.75/1 printable here to get these for $.75 each! Limit is 4.
  • Ocean Spray cranberry juices $1.69/each (limit 3)
  • Bar-S Bacon – $1.69
  • Purina Alpo dog food – $7.99 for a 17lb bag. Use the $3.50 printable here to get these for $4.50/bag! That is a steal for dog food if you need it. Or get to donate to your local animal shelter.


HyVee

  • Skippy Peanut Butter – $.99. Use the $.40 coupon from the 8-2 RP to get these for $.59/jar.
  • 80% Ground beef – $1.49/lb
  • Bell peppers 2/$1
  • Frozen chicken breasts – $4.99/3lb bag.
  • HyVee shredded cheeses 4/$5. Not the lowest price, but a good deal still.
  • Kleenex – $.99/box. Use the $.50/3 boxes printable here.
  • Coffee Mate creamer – 2/$3. Use the $.50 coupon from the 8-9 RP to get these for $1 each.
  • Ragu pasta sauces – $1.49/each. Use the $.60/2 coupon from the 8-9 RP to get these for $1.20 each when you buy 2.
  • Knorr pasta sides 10/$10. Use the $.50/2 coupon from the 8-9 RP to get these for $.75 each when you buy 2.
  • Bertolli frozen meals – $5.99. Use the $1 printable here to get these for $4.99 each.
  • Kelloggs Pop Tarts – $1.68 each. Use the $.55/1 printable here, and the in-ad coupon for $1.50 off when you buy 3 to get these for $1.89 total, or $.63/box.
  • HyVee bagged salad – $.77/bag
  • Pringles Super Stacks – 3/$4. Use the $1/2 coupon from the 8-2 PG to get these for $1.67, or $.84 each when you buy 2.
  • Purina Dog Chow – $10.99 for a 17lb-20lb bag. Use the $3.50 printable here to get these for $7.50/bag.

BOGO = Buy one, get one (usually buy one get one free).

EB = Extra Bucks. Use these like cash at CVS.

RP = Red Plum. One of the Sunday coupon inserts.

RR = Register Rewards. Use these like cash at Walgreens.

SS = Smart Source. One of the Sunday coupon inserts

WYB = when you buy
